Being a fabricator/welder by trade ( journeyman ) , I would be cautious
about the gauge of Steel used. I would not rule out going to a proper sheet
metal shop where they can cut & fold the Rocker panel properly. Some time
last year I welded up a 59 Pontiac , this came with a pair of aftermarket
Rocker panels that were the ready to weld type !.

Don't overlook JC Whitney, for rockers. It's a LOT easier to call them
toll-free, & discuss your needs, than to try to work-thru their
complicated website-they subcontract thru a manufacturer, and actually
place the order, so there's some lead-time involved.

The price? about $29.95!

ALSO!!!!!!!!! Some replacement rocker panel parts are Meant To Be
CAPS, rather then a
direct replacement where you have to totally remove the old one first.
