[FWDLK] kick panels

The front under-the-dash kick panels in my mid fifties Mopars are shot, having lost their elasticity.They are made of a thick cardboard that seems to be wax coated for moisture resistance.This is covered with a vinyl to match the interior color scheme.

 

Does anyone have a lead on a company that makes them? Can they be made from a light thin veneer, such as wall paneling? I could use the originals as templates. Is the original type card board available anywhere? I'd like to remake them myself if possible, but would use a supplier if I didn't have to take a second mortgage on my home to pay for them-
