Ya know, I was just thinking (it happens) ,,,,
Virtually NOTHING (well, notwithstanding the alleged performance of the
1956 D-500 [ :-) ]
is a MYTH !
"It" all, really did happen, and with no seatbelts, and 'no'-air
conditioning (except on Luxo-cars).
We, all, just took "life" for granted, because there were no "rules" ,
(and post-war elation had not occurred, since the Roaring-20's) , except
for a general civility & politeness-----hence, The popularity of
Lawrence Welk Show, but also of 'gang' "rumbles" (remember THAT
term???), and individual "knife" fights, as depicted in West Side Story.
Guns? You mean, like :"Zip-Guns"??
Fighting, then, was mano-a-mano, and not 'drive-by' murders.
