top hole of rear carb, lower hole of frt carb.  adjust the slotted end to allow full throttle of both carbs simultaneously, as prev mentioned, as it retunrs, the slot will allow the linkage to move past the rest point on the frt carb.

My '57 Fury had the extra hole in the front carb .
