IML: Correct seat materiall

Haven't been following except for this latest below. Adding my voice,
please use correct material. SMS has it, I am quite sure. The labor for
putting together the upholstery using correct or incorrect material is the
same. The material may cost more. Folks with any knowledge of the car will
immediately know the wrong fabric or pattern was used. Such a waste of
money. To me, it is crushing to see a beautiful car only to find, upon
closer examination, that the incorrect fabric or vinyl instead of leather,
has been used.

If you plan to restore an interior with incorrect material, save yourself
lots of money and just buy a cheap pair of seatcovers--my two cents.

thing. Of the four of five original colors, I think at the time that I was
looking into this the only ones available were blue and gray. I have since
seen a couple of cars that have been redone in pink NOS fabric, but I
suspect that this pink was reproduction also. Some one told me that there is
a difference between the reproduction and the origianl. It has to do with
the number of Eagles per sqaure yard. Believe me, installed in the car this
was undetectable.

Considering the the cost of properly refurbushing the interior, it is well
worth the effort to find the correct material and do it right.

Dubuque Iowa will again be held the last weekend in August . The 28th to be
exact. I will be sponsoring the Imperial Class one more year. As far as I
know this is the only Show in this area that has an Imperial only class.
Here is your chance to show it as it should be in a Class of its own. Anyone
interested please contact me off list for more information. Thanks
